UNIT ONE!
UNIT 1: We will begin in Unit 1 (Chapters 1 - 6) ... This chapter will be the foundation of everything you learn in future units. We will be categorizing data, describing it, calculating different aspects of it, and learning about the Normal model. The focus is on organizing and displaying data and beginning to understand the Normal model.

UNIT SIX!
UNIT 6: We're going to continue practicing how to predict population parameters... this time with means. Remember, we have a single sample (or two single samples), we know about that sample, and we USE that sample to approximate the true population mean using the Central Limit Theorem and the sampling distribution of sample means!

Answer Key to Probability Worksheet:
Hey everyone. At this time I don't think it will be possible to upload the answer key for the probability worksheet. I'm going to focus on updating grades this weekend.
Remember the quiz tomorrow. You should know... Venn diagrams, probability, the law of large numbers, independent vs. disjoint events, expected values and standard deviation, when you can add expected values and how to adjust standard deviation by changing the variance first.
Also, there will be NO TEST THIS WEEK. Looking ahead, I'm going to cover Chapter 17 this week and we'll review and test after break.
UNIT THREE:
We began Unit Three, chapters 11 - 13, on November 1. This unit discusses randomness and designing good experiments that limit bias and give us a good sample of a larger population.
The Unit Three quiz will be November 15 (over Chapters 11 & 12). The Chapter Three test will be November 21.
Week of 10/10 - 10/14:
This week we will cover Chapter 8. This will include an investigative task on Tuesday that will be due on Friday.
We will also be going over the Chapter One test.
You will be reading Chapter 9 at the end of the week and taking notes on it.
There will be a quiz over Chapters 7 and 8 on Monday, October 17.
Unit One Test:
The first test of the year will be Tuesday, October 4.
We will review chapters 1 - 6 throughout the week and have two days of review work, Friday and Monday, prior to the test.
I'm creating a "toolkit" that you will be allowed to use on the test and will include both formulas and z-tables.
Week of 9/26 - 9/30:
This week we'll be finishing up Chapter 6 and then reviewing for the Unit One Test (Chapters 1 - 6).
You will be given an investigative task on Normal Distribution on Monday that will be due on Thursday, 9/29.
Your Unit One Packet (given to you on the first day) will be due on Friday, 9/30.
